Technical Specification

Technical specifications and its description for ___ kWp on-grid system Solar Photovoltaic Plant is given in following sections. 


Solar PV Module

Solar Panels are the heart of any solar power plant. It generates electricity (DC) for more than 25 years. PV panels are manufactured using Poly-Perc crystalline silicon cells and tested as per IEC and UL Standard. This is a world proven technology and has 70% of market share. 

SOLAR PV MODULE

Solar photovoltaic panels are manufactured using the Poly-perc crystalline cells of 156mmsize cells. The cells are imported from world’s leading manufacturers. The modules are manufactured on fully automatic line with build in quality control checks. We supply PV modules are starting from 10 Wp used in lantern to 500Wp used in power plants.  The solar cells are 100 % tested for their power efficiencies, micro cracks, hot spots and other cosmetic defects. The module frame is anodized aluminium& screw-less.   

QUALITY ASSURANCE

PV Modules are tested and certified for IEC 61215 & IEC 61730 and approved for salt mist spray test. PV modules are also certified as free from PID. Every module has records for its traceability and quality checks. All these information is bar coded. 

PERFORMANCE

The life of PV modules is guaranteed for 25 years. The module output is also guaranteed for 25 year. 

The degradation @1% in the power output with respect to temperature and age is as per the international norms of the Industry. However, output is also affected due to dust settling, ambient temperature, radiation, shadow etc. and those factors are not in our control. 



Module Mounting Structure

A suitable numbers of PV panel on mounting structures will be fixed. Array configuration will be finalized after site survey & during preparing the plant layout.  

We will design the structure as per project requirement 

Structure material will be corrosion resistant and compatible with the materials used in the module frame, support structure, fasteners and nuts and bolts. Structures will be supplied complete fitting

The structure will be designed to allow easy replacement of any module. 

The detail design of the mounting structure will be carried over once the site survey and plant Layout is completed. 

Support structural material will be Pre-fabricated Hot Dipped galvanized Section/Aluminum with SS 304 hardware.

Module Fitting/Installation and Commissioning 

The fixing of module with module mounting structure will be anchor fastening. The fixing is designed on the basis of the weight of the structure with modules, roof condition and to withstand maximum wind speed of 150 -180 km /hour. A minimum clearance, between roof level & Bottom edge of SPV modules will be maintained. 

For rooftop Tin-shed direct anchoring and fasting will done.


Inverter

SPV array produce direct current electricity, it is necessary to convert this direct current into alternating current and adjust the voltage levels before powering equipment designed for nominal mains AC supply. Conversion shall be achieved using an IGBT based electronic Inverter and the associated control and protection devices. All these components of the system are termed the “Power Conditioning Unit” OR simply PCU. In addition, the PCU shall have inbuilt MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker), to maximize Solar PV array energy input into the System. 

In the proposed project grid connected inverters will be used to get maximum utilisation & penetration of solar power. 

The following features are also available with the inverter: 

I.  For DC-to-AC energy conversion reliable and efficient solid-state devices (such as IGBTs) shall be used. 

II.  The inverter is designed for continuous, reliable and stable power supply for the specified loads. 

III.  The inverter has a high DC to AC conversion efficiency.

IV.  The inverter output power factor is in such a range as to supply or sink reactive power, as required.                

V.  The inverter have automatic restart facility after overload triggered shut down, when once the 

Load retains to its set value.

VI.  The Inverter shall preferably be capable of operating in parallel with similar inverters.




Solar grid connected inverters

Specifications: Grid connected inverter works without battery but live grid is required to run the gird connected inverter. It senses the grid parameters and synchronized with it. These are most efficient inverters than off grid inverters. 

Balance of Plant

Balance of plant includes DC and AC cables, connectors, Earthing and Lightning arrestors, conducting etc. etc.  All solar cables will be TUV approved DC Cable-Type 1-as per TUV Specifications 2Pfg 1169/08.2007 with Annealed Tinned Copper Conductor Class 5, Cross Linkable LSOH insulated and Cross Linkable LSOH outer sheathed.  Cables form string monitoring box to inverter will be of aluminium.  “SR Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd” design plant in such a way that there will be minimum power losses in cable. “SR Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd” uses cables from only reputed manufacturers.


The SPV power plant must be protected against lightning and grounded properly.  There will be separate 

Earthing system, for DC, AC, Lightning arresters and control panels.


Earthing will be chemical Earthing using copper bonded electrode/GI and earth resistance lowering chemical. Life of this type of Earthing will be more than 10 years and it has no maintenance.  Earthing for entire plant will be designed in accordance to IS 3043 standard and it has been tested and certified by Central Power Research Institute. 

Lightning arresters will be of Early streamer emission (E.S.E) type.  There will be dedicated earthing for each LA.



















Techno-Commercial Offer:-

6.1 Assumptions

The Scope of supply is based on certain assumptions which are as follows- 

Plant installation location is on roof top.

Roof is flat and free from big trees, natural or artificial obstacles.

Shadow free area without any obstacles is available continuously for installation of _____kWp solar power plant.  Any obstacles may reduce plant capacity. 

Power Evacuation Voltage level is 415V.

GST Will applicable as per rules and regulations of Govt. Included in the price of cost.

AMC for troubleshooting is in the scope of SR Solar Energy Pvt. Ltd for 5 years. However the cleaning of plant and washing of modules is in the scope of client. Plumbing material for washing is in the scope of client.

Free Power and water supply during construction and operation period to be provided by the Client.

Insurance (plant & machinery) Cost of the project after commissioning will be borne by the Client.

Capital item may change as per actual design/ supply / market availability etc. 

Walkways for module cleaning is must and recommended, it is in the scope of client. 

Daily operation & maintenance is in client’s scope.

Delivery: 4 - 6 weeks from ready stock after receipt of payment along with purchase order.

Validity: 15 days from the date of quotation.

Subject to Force Majeure Clause.

Payment schedule – to be made as per the following key marks -

50% Advance along with the purchase order.

30 % against delivery 

10 % after completion of installation 

10 % Against Testing & Commissioning of the project.

Energy Generation 

Energy generation estimation is carried out with help of Meteonorm and PV Syst software.  Simulation helps to know and understand the performance of plant but in practical conditions it may vary with weather parameters. 

IMPORTANT NOTE:   THE POWER GENERATION IS BASED ON THE INSOLATION, AMBIENT TEMP, MODULE AREA AND MODULE EFFICIENCY. ANY DEVIATION ON THOSE PARAMETERS WILL EFFECT THE POWER GENERATION. OUR GENERATION GUARANTEE IS ALSO BASED ON THOSE PARAMETERS.


Do’s & Don’ts for Grid connected Solar Power Plant

Do’s

Shut off solar system on holidays if bi-directional policy is not implemented & there is no active power controller installed. 

Clean modules periodically depending on environmental dusty condition. Customer can come to know it by simple visual inspection.

Always clean modules early in morning or late in evening 

Firstly clean modules with dry cloth. Then use wet mopper to clean it with clean, soft water. 

Check the terminal / cable connections quarterly

All electrical contacts should be kept clean and dry.

Pour water in earthing pit twice a year. (Ideally before start of summer season.)

Monitor the plant performance as and when possible. If we feel any problem contact supplier, 

Use appropriate safety equipment (insulated tools, insulated gloves, etc.) when working on any wiring.

Avoid electrical hazards when installing, wiring, operating and maintaining the module.

Use only equipment, connectors, wiring and support frames suitable for use in a solar electric systems. 

Don’ts

Do not clean the glass surface with chemicals. Do not let water stay on the glass surfaces of PV modules for a long time. This creates a risk of permanent damage to the glass, such as white efflorescence, otherwise known as “glass disease,” which may cause reduced power output.

Do not disconnect/ assemble any connection / connector in operation.


Do not wear metallic rings, watchbands, ear, nose, lip rings or other metallic devices while

Installing or troubleshooting photovoltaic systems.

Do not cover the water drain holes of the frame. There is a risk of frost damage when the frame is filled with water.

Do not attempt to disassemble the module, and do not remove any attached nameplates or

Components

Do not leave connectors unplugged for long periods of time; dirt may prevent subsequent

Connection.

Do not allow any unauthorized person to operate, disturb or make any changes or modifications in the System.


In case the system becomes non-operational, don’t try to repair any part yourself otherwise the warranty will become void.


Keep away children from the Systems as it generates DC current. It is dangerous for life & can be fatal.
